What is Camp LEAD?

Camp LEAD is more than just a summer camp--it's a transformative experience designed to awaken the changemaker in every student. Students should be curious about their world, excited to meet new people, and ready to grow as leaders.

​​

Camp LEAD builds confidence, cultural awareness, and leadership skills—empowering youth to create change in their schools and communities. Through hands-on workshops, creative projects, and field trips, campers explore leadership, identity, and social justice in engaging and age-appropriate ways.

​

Camp LEAD is open to rising 6th–8th graders for the 2027–2028 school year from all schools and districts across the greater St. Louis region, including Missouri and Illinois.

Program Overview:

Camp LEAD creates an immersive educational environment that fosters social and emotional learning, community building, and leadership skill development to help campers challenge inequity and injustice.

This summer we’re offering four different one-week-long day camp sessions (Monday- Friday), each with a unique theme designed to empower youth in Greater Saint Louis to become advocates for positive change in their communities. 

Campers can participate in one or all of these sessions!

9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday

For families needing additional care, we offer Before Care services from 8:00 to 9:00 am and After Care services from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for an additional fee.

Who Should Apply?

Camp LEAD is open to rising 6th–8th graders for the 2027–2028 school year from all schools and districts across the greater St. Louis region, including Missouri and Illinois, who are eager to learn more about their community, explore the world around them, and make a positive impact.

After submitting an Interest Form, campers and their families will be contacted within a few days with info on next steps.  ​

Costs and Scholarships

Each week of Camp LEAD costs $350, which includes admission to all field trips, transportation, and supplies.

LEAD STL understands that every family’s financial situation is unique. We encourage families to share any circumstances that may affect their ability to contribute, and our staff will work with families to ensure all students can participate fully. 

​

Limited Scholarships are available. 

A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to reserve your child’s spot, with the remaining balance due before the camp session begins.
